ScrapDesk is a trading-operations platform for scrap metal dealers, operated by our team based in Kerala, India, and serving businesses in the UAE. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account or use the service: your name, email address, company details (including TRN), branch and user records, and the trading data you enter (purchases, sales, parties, vehicles, inventory, and financial records). When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the service, isolate your organisation's data from other tenants, generate invoices and reports, send transactional and account emails, and improve and secure the platform. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Data isolation & security
Each organisation's data is logically isolated and accessible only to that organisation's authorised users. We apply role-based access controls, encrypted connections, and access scoping at every layer. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request export or deletion of your organisation's data by contacting us.
6. Third-party services
We use third-party providers for hosting, database, email delivery, and optical character recognition of weighbridge slips. These providers process data only as needed to deliver their service.
